Kumeu Observatory
Observing, instruments and a small part in much larger amateur-science work.
I have been involved in observing at Kumeu Observatory, part of the Microlensing Follow-Up Network. The useful bits are often practical: keeping the equipment working and getting reliable observations when they are needed.
Kumeu observations have contributed to published science. I was one member of volunteer/amateur teams doing that work.
